Today was the day of snow and high adventure at Blue Mountain in Collingwood. We all got up at five and then set off in the car after coffee and a light breakfast. We reached the resort a couple of hours later and rented our kit; Sarah and I took some beginner snowboarding lessons and by the end of the morning we could almost ride ten feet without falling on our arses. We then broke for a quick warming drink (beer) before hitting the slopes again. By the end I managed to get down the intermediate beginner slope without falling over too much, but at that point it was time to get lunch and go home. This was definitely an amazingly cool day, by the end something had clicked and I felt almost as though I was in control, there was purpose and direction to my sliding down the hill, I almost felt cool.
