After a long day I went to Neil and Nic hosted Jan's Polish party, we had all kinds of excellent pork products, kabanos sausages, smoked salami, fat with lumps (yummy) and a sausagey soup which was delicious. My favourite find of the night was the Zubrowka vodka; a traditional Polish potato vodka with a single strand of bison grass within it. It's a very pleasant flavour and is great drunk in the traditional manner, watered back with apple juice. I want to try it iced and accompanying some smoked salmon. Yum.
